Time: from 19 to 25 July 2010 (18.07 – arrival day).

Place: The ARC, Bakhchisaray area, Novoulyanivka village, “Strawberry Field”.

Camp program consists of a series of different trainings and master classes that are directly or indirectly connected with theater (yoga, contact improvisation, martial arts, plastic, facial expressions, gestures, authentic singing, original dance, playing on authentic instruments, also learning the skills of making props, applying makeup, the principles of shadow play, fire show, street theater (stilts, flags, fireworks), theoretical knowledge of theater history, psychology, landscape and spatial orientation, scenic photos).

Revival of dramatic art, as a sacred ritual in harmony with nature, sources.

Our purpose:

Adaptation of contemporary theater to the primitive living conditions. Nature becomes a place for action, partner and chief provocateur for the awakening of person’s creative energy:

1. Nature as a provocateur – to try adapting of theatrical language to the environment that is devoid of technical support, theatrical light and artificial interior;

2. Nature as a partner – to learn how to establish direct contact with original elements as with co-creator, finding the most harmonious combination of theatrical idea and its realization with the space of untouched landscapes;

3. Nature as a big sandbox, that reveals the internal energy of the game for each person, an actor and spectator, awakens childlike immediacy and impartiality, excites imagination, gives creative freedom to the viewer and adds him to theatrical action.
